Imposter
Directed by Azudi Onyejekwe, choreographed by Juliana Conte, and co-created by a dynamic ensemble of multidisciplinary artists, Imposter emerges from TLTC's Liminal Lab series, the collective's creative incubator for bold, innovative new theatre from emerging artists of color.
Imposter is an ensemble-driven, devised theatre experience that explores the selves we construct to survive in spaces that were never built for us: the masks we wear, the names we soften, the history we silence, the languages we lose, and the shame that teaches us to be smaller than we are.
Developed through collaborative storytelling, movement, original music, and deeply personal excavation, the piece asks a simple question: when the mask you built to protect yourself becomes the only face anyone recognizes, who are you underneath?
