Maimouna Camara

Associate General Manager

Maimouna Camara (she/her) is a performing arts producer and manager whose creative work stems from non-profit theaters and cultural arts organizations. Maimouna received her M.A in Performing Arts Administration at NYU. In New York, she was the 2022/2023 Finance and Operations Fellow at the New York Theatre Workshop and was the Assistant Program Coordinator for NYU’s Creative Careers Accelerator. She’s worked as a producer and sound/video designer at Towne Street Theater, along with Leimert Park Theater Consortium and The Inner City Cultural Center in Los Angeles. She was one of the Research Production Coordinators at the Cultural Arts and Diversity Resource Center in Santa Cruz, CA and participated in student and arts advocacy leadership programs at UCSC. Focused on a multidisciplinary producing approach, Maimouna has associate produced the short film THE NEST (Kiziana Jean-Louis), collaborated on photography books such as I CAN’T BREATHE (Carr and Scott), and worked on several independent modeling projects. She is the co-curator of Towne Street Theater’s seasonal spoken word production known as SUM POETRY.
