A Brooklyn-based performing arts nonprofit that provides free theater and music arts education, academic and wellness support services, youth leadership and workforce development opportunities to girls, young women, trans and gender-expansive youth of color ages 13-26 throughout New York City and nation-wide.

viBe’s intensive programming engages, inspires, and empowers young people to write, publish, direct, and perform personal and collaborative performance art based on their lived experiences

viBe Juneteenth Panel Discussion

in collaboration with Black Revolutionary Theater Workshop (BRTW)

Saturday June 20, 7 - 10pm

viBe & BRTW will host a panel of Black leaders, activists, organizers and artists as part of their Juneteenth programming.

This event celebrates Juneteenth and theater; its program aims to forge new and reignite old connections with Black theater organizations in the City. A brief showcase of new work readings will also be featured.

What to Expect

Expect hands-on fun, supportive staff, and a mix of structured activities and open play. This is a space where campers can move, make, imagine, and grow.

Sample Schedule

  • Campers ease into the day with light games, creative prompts, and a welcome circle to set the tone.

  • Guided outdoor activities and free play to stretch, move, and soak up some fresh air.

  • Campers will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks daily.

  • Hands-on time to explore the daily theme—whether it’s art, building, storytelling, or movement.

  • We'll end the day with a closing circle before campers head home for the evening.

Where to Find Us

Shuttle transportation is available to and from camp. Participants can be picked up near the York Street Subway Station on the F subway line. Subway access to the F, G, A, C, 2, 3 and B67.
