Talea Ensemble presents

iNSIDE Out: Lacunae

June 9
Tickets are $20*
The Pete
75 Minutes

Talea’s iNSIDE Out series fosters creative discussions and interactive environments that allow musicians and audiences to share how—and why—they listen. We design programs that facilitate discussion: performers, composers, and guest curators talk with the audience to share more about the context of each work’s development and how the musical language or thematic ideas from the program are connected.

On June 9, Talea percussionist Matthew Gold leads us on an immersive performance:
Natacha Diels: An Economy of Means (2014)
Ted Moore: it teaches us that it doesn’t exist (2016)
Brian Simalchik: Lacunae (2013)
Ted Moore: still motion (2017)

Talea Ensemble’s iNSIDE Out Series seeks to create participatory environments that foster engaged listening and personal connection to great works of cutting-edge contemporary music. In these events the audience is an equal participant, joining the performers in musical exploration and creative discussion to uncover personal truths surrounding how and why we listen to the music of our time. No musical experience necessary, open ears and open minds required. taleaensemble.org
