Mac Wellman is a poet, novelist, playwright, distinguished professor of playwriting at Brooklyn College and co-founder of The Flea Theater.  Winner of Obies, NEA, Guggenheim and Foundation of Contemporary Arts fellowships and the inspiration of most if not all of the adventurous playwrights in 21st century America, we are pleased to honor the man who coined The Flea’s mission – “to raise a joyful hell in a small space” and who continues to live by that motto.

Michael Graff is an industrialist whose expertise in aerospace and related industries has led him to lead and serve companies across the US and around the globe.  He is also a water polo player, coach, and the current Chair of the United States Olympic Water Polo Committee. Outside of the water, he is a theater enthusiast and strategic supporter of and advisor to The Flea Theater, helping us to grow into our new three theater performing arts institution on Thomas Street and beyond.
