Tony Tramontin is Partner in McKinsey & Company’s global Healthcare Practice. He works primarily with biopharmaceutical clients across a broad range of R&D, commercial, medical, and corporate topics. The majority of his work, however, focuses specifically on medicine development. He co-leads McKinsey’s Center for Asset Optimization that helps biopharma clients with R&D project investment decisions, portfolio risk management, therapeutic area strategy, and research productivity. Tony also works with Business Development and Private Equity clients on issues related to product search/evaluation. Before joining McKinsey, Tony was an experimental neuroscientist conducting postdoctoral research at The Rockefeller University and in The University of California San Francisco. He did his graduate work at the University of Washington.
