Part playground, part laboratory and part training ground, The Flea offers apprentice-style Resident Artist Programs for emerging actors, directors, writers, and small companies that are unique to the field.

We believe that the best way to learn a craft is to practice it hands-on, so these programs are about providing opportunity – to practice a craft, work with established artists, have work reviewed, and get seen by audiences and industry professionals. Along the way, Resident Artists build a network of artistic peers that lasts a lifetime.

Resident Artist Programs are free and open to all through audition or application. As apprentices, the pay is the theater itself –The Flea and its resources only exist to be in service of its Resident Artists.
