Xavier J. Velasquez

Xavier J. Velasquez is a Miami, Fl native of Nicaraguan descent. He is currently living in the Bronx, NY. He is an actor, dancer, & singer. Xavier began singing at a young age all the way through his first semester of college in Chicago, IL, where he attended Columbia College Chicago for film. Soon enough he discovered an interest in dance, eventually abandoning his studies to seek dance training through studios like Hubbard Street Dance Center. In 2015 he moved to New York City to pursue his dreams in the performing arts. In 2017 he auditioned to be a resident actor at The Flea Theater and was cast in their spring production of Catya McMullen’s LOCKED UP BITCHES where he played the role of Pouty Bitch under the direction of Michael Raine. He currently spends his time working on his street technique of Vogue, an underground battle style, with his family the International House of Amazon, playing a multitude of roles in the Flea’s episodic late night theater madness known as “SERIALS”, and seeking to continue developing his vocal technique.
